Sales Ranking of Pickup Manufacturers in June 2024 Quick Report

The pickup market in June 2024 saw sales of 44,000 units, a decrease of 2.9% year-on-year and 2% month-on-month, maintaining a mid-high level compared to the past five years. Due to a relatively high base in June of the previous year, the growth rate this year is still commendable. From January to June, pickup sales reached 262,000 units, achieving a year-on-year increase of 1.8%, showing an overall good performance.

Considering that the effect of relaxing road rights for pickups entering cities is far less effective than that of pickups going to rural areas, the concept of pickups entering cities is a false proposition. The pickup markets in the northwest, southwest, central regions, and northeast continue to strengthen. In June of this year, the production of pickups was 39,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 15.9%, and the sales of 44,000 units saw a slight year-on-year decrease. The export of pickups in June accounted for 49% of the sales volume, becoming the strongest export proportion category among commercial vehicles. Under the pressure of the sluggish real estate market, China's pickup production and sales have been relatively stable in the past two years, relying on the contribution of exports.
