Recently, Porsche unveiled the overseas pricing for the mid-cycle refresh of the 911 series, codenamed 992.2. The 911 Carrera starts at €128,700 (approximately RMB 1 million), while the 911 Carrera GTS begins at €170,600 (approximately RMB 1.326 million). This version also offers an aerodynamics package at an additional cost of €2,713.20 (approximately RMB 21,000).
The new Porsche 911 Carrera is set to begin delivery in Germany by the end of summer, with the GTS version following by the end of the year. Porsche also released official images of two special editions: the Carrera GTS Cabriolet and the Targa 4 GTS.
As Porsche's most iconic sports car, the new 911 series maintains its classic design with minimal changes. The GTS series features an additional vertical active grille design on the front, and the car is equipped with exclusive low-drag wheels to further optimize aerodynamics.
Inside, the car boasts a 12.6-inch LCD instrument panel, a 10.9-inch central control screen, an electronic gear lever, driving mode buttons, a turbo pressure gauge, and a wireless charging pad for mobile phones. The interior details are heavily made of carbon fiber panels and Alcantara material, with the integrated seats featuring the exclusive GTS logo, achieving weight reduction while highlighting the sports cabin atmosphere.
Power-wise, the standard 911 Carrera series is equipped with a 3.0T flat-six engine, with two waste gas turbines, producing a maximum power of 290kW and a maximum torque of 450Nm, paired with an 8-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The acceleration time from 0 to 100km/h is 4.1s for the hardtop version and 4.3s for the convertible version.
The highlight is the introduction of the hybrid system for the first time in the GTS version. This series will be equipped with a larger 3.6T flat-six engine, with a maximum power of 357kW and a maximum torque of 570Nm. The engine also has an electronic turbocharger on the exhaust side, which can improve power response through a 400V electrical system and generate electricity through high-flux waste gas (with a power generation of 15 horsepower). Additionally, the new car integrates an electric drive unit on the basis of the PDK dual-clutch transmission, with a 1.9kWh high-power lithium battery, providing an additional maximum power of 41kW and a maximum torque of 150Nm. The system's comprehensive power is 398kW, with a maximum torque of 610Nm. Some models are also equipped with a transmission shaft to the front axle, achieving four-wheel drive. According to the official data, the lightest 911 Carrera GTS (with a curb weight of 1649kg) has an acceleration time of just 3s from 0 to 100km/h, while the soft-top convertible and removable hardtop versions are 3.1s, with a top speed of 312km/h.
