New Generation 212 Pre-Sale Starts on July 25th

Recently, Beijing Automobile Manufacturing Plant has disclosed that the all-new 212 will officially start pre-sale on July 25th. The vehicle continues the classic "boxy" shape and "round sky, square ground" front face, and incorporates a more modern longitudinal 2.0T+8AT power system on the non-load-bearing body basis.

It is reported that the new 212 will be officially launched in the second half of the year and will adopt a dual-mode sales model of traditional channels + direct sales.

Looking back at the appearance of the new car, the new 212 continues the classic military green exterior color, with prominent wheel arches, front and rear bumpers, and engine cover, matched with the box-shaped body and spare tire hanging, showing a strong off-road temperament.

From the details, the car will adopt a more youthful round LED headlight, with an "8" shaped light belt design inside the lamp cavity, matched with a horizontal three-hole grille, which not only continues the recognition of the classic model but also has a youthful feature.

According to the declaration information, the new 212 is still a non-load-bearing body structure, and the rear suspension is also a multi-link rigid bridge design. The overall length, width, and height of the vehicle are 4705/1895/1936mm, and the wheelbase is 2860mm, which can basically be regarded as a direct competitor to models such as the Tank 300 and BAIC BJ40.

In terms of parameters, the official disclosed that the car not only has an approach angle of 40° and a departure angle of 36°, but also has a detachable anti-roll bar on the front bridge, which can further release the front suspension stroke and improve the off-road capability of the whole vehicle.

Like the appearance, the new 212 also incorporates a large number of youthful elements in the cockpit design. It not only has a floating central control screen, but the instrument panel has also been changed to the current popular all-liquid crystal display, plus an electronic gear lever, electronic handbrake, one-key start, multi-function steering wheel, etc. Although the performance of the intelligent interaction is unknown, the overall layout is already a completely modern off-road vehicle.

Finally, in terms of power, the car will be equipped with a 2.0T turbocharged engine with a maximum power of 185kW, matched with an 8AT transmission. It is reported that the car will adopt a part-time four-wheel drive system specifically developed for unpaved roads, with optional front and rear differential locks, supporting steep slope slow descent, low-speed crawling, etc.
