According to the data from the General Administration of Customs, compiled by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in May 2024, the import of complete vehicles showed a slight increase compared to the same period last year. In May, the import of complete vehicles was 63,000 units, with a month-on-month growth of 21.8% and a year-on-year growth of 7.4%; the import amount was $3.38 billion, with a month-on-month growth of 19.8%, but a year-on-year decrease of 0.8%.

From January to May 2024, the import of complete vehicles was 271,000 units, a year-on-year decrease of 4.5%; the import amount was $15.1 billion, a year-on-year decrease of 15.5%.
