It's Time to Bottom-Fish for Oil Cars as Three Major Domestic SUVs Get a Facelift!
As we all know, new energy vehicles, including pure electric and plug-in hybrids, are the current trend. However, the market penetration rate of new energy vehicles has not yet exceeded 50%, and fuel vehicles, especially the classic star models of various brands, are still the main force in the market. More importantly, in the face of the pressure brought by new energy vehicles, the prices of these fuel vehicles are becoming more and more attractive.
Although it is an old classic, Haval H6 has been under pressure from Chang'an CS75 series and BYD DM-i series since the third generation, and a comprehensive product upgrade is imperative. According to the latest official news, the fourth-generation Haval H6 was officially launched tonight. The new version still comes from the Great Wall Lemon platform, but thanks to the technical upgrades brought by new energy, this fuel vehicle will also have a more outstanding performance in intelligence.
Design Adjustments: The new Haval H6 has made significant adjustments in design, such as a more exaggerated large mouth grille design, and the taillights have changed from the third generation's through-type to the traditional split-type. The interior adopts the current popular smart cockpit design concept, with richer car machine functions and high-end configurations.
Size and Performance: The new car has dimensions of 4703/1886/1730mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2738mm. As a fuel vehicle, the new Haval H6 will continue to be equipped with 1.5T and 2.0T engines, with the latter's maximum power increasing from the current 155kW to 175kW. It will also use the Great Wall's self-developed 9-speed dual-clutch transmission, which was not previously available for Haval H6.
Coincidentally, Haval H6's "archenemy" - Chang'an CS75 PLUS is also about to be replaced. Its internal code is C928, and the official has already released the official pictures of the replacement model, which is expected to be officially launched in the second half of this year. Compared with the fourth-generation Haval H6 of Great Wall Motors, Chang'an Automobile's design direction for the new CS75 PLUS will be more youthful, with the most typical example being the application of multi-segment LED light strips.
Size and Power: From the declaration information of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the new CS75 PLUS has dimensions of 4770/1910/1695(1705)mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2800mm, which is significantly larger than the current model and also larger than the Haval H6 mentioned above.
Unlike the above two "first oil cars, then plug-in hybrids," Chery Automobile is more accustomed to the opposite approach. The plug-in hybrid SUV of the Fengyun series - Fengyun T9 has been launched, with a starting price of only 129,900 yuan, and the derived oil car - Tiggo 8 L has just completed the declaration of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, and is expected to be launched in the second half of this year.
Design and Features: The body style of the Tiggo 8 L is basically the same as the Fengyun T9, but as an oil car, it retains the dot matrix front grille design, and the rear adopts a dual-sided exhaust layout. It also includes trendy elements such as hidden door handles, dense spoke wheels, and through-type taillights.
Powertrain: The Tiggo 8 L will continue to be equipped with Chery's Kunpeng power 2.0T engine, with a maximum power of 187kW and a maximum torque of 390Nm. From the current Chery/Exeed/Jietu models on sale, its power and fuel consumption balance is outstanding in the same category.
