How to Choose Between the Ninth-Generation Camry and Fengyun T9?

For most people, those considering the Camry are unlikely to consider the Fengyun T9, and vice versa. Focusing solely on the product itself, the Camry's hybrid version is certainly worth considering, but even the lowest configuration is over 150,000 RMB after discounts, and it's now the fifth-generation THS exclusive to China. Its stable fuel consumption of 4-4.5L/100km is no problem, but as a hybrid, it might be a bit of a loss if you can charge it at home.

Fengyun T9 is much cheaper, and with a bit more than 150,000 RMB, you can almost get the top five-seater configuration. In terms of configuration, it leaves the low-end Camry far behind. It's a proper plug-in hybrid, saving you purchase tax, and you can charge it at home for daily travel, or use fast-charging piles at highway service areas. It can run 100km on pure electricity, which is under the strict WLTC test standard, and its operating cost is far lower than the Camry hybrid. Of course, due to the impact of the curb weight (after all, it's a quasi-medium SUV with a large battery), its fuel consumption when the battery is low (about 5L/100km) will be a bit higher than the Camry hybrid.

If you value travel comfort experience, high-end MPV series will have more advantages than SUVs. However, the BYD D9, Trumpchi E9, and Buick GL8 PHEV all exceed the budget. Currently, the Trumpchi E8 is a key to look at, which can be completely handled within 250,000 RMB. It's not that big, but it's enough for daily home use, and it also has sliding doors. The three-electric system is based on the Toyota THS upgrade to the GMC2.0 plug-in hybrid power, equipped with a 2.0L Atkinson engine, and the dual-motor unit achieves electromechanical coupling through the planetary gear set, also supporting two gears. This hybrid system has been applied to many models of GAC, and there is no problem with stability and reliability.

Finally, if you value cost-effectiveness, you can also wait for the Chery Fengyun T10, which will use a three-gear C-DM plug-in hybrid scheme, and it is expected to have a three-motor four-wheel-drive version, estimated to be around 200,000 RMB for the top configuration. In terms of MPVs, BYD also plans to launch a high-end MPV over 200,000 RMB, applying DM5.0, and there are already test cars, which may be named Tang MAX.

Although Versailles is positioned as a mid-range car, it can be seen as a substitute for some travel cars, and there are basically no such personalized "travel cars" at this price. Many people are attracted by this shape. In addition, its cost-effectiveness is also very high. A car that is more than 4.8 meters long and has a wheelbase close to 2.8 meters basically sells at the price of a compact car, and it is also very good in terms of configuration, materials, seat comfort, space, and chassis texture. If the premise is that you like this shape, it is definitely a value-for-money choice. From the product, there are basically no obvious shortcomings. If there is a deficiency, it may be that the brand influence is a bit less, and the current after-sales are not many.

Which one is better to add a pure electric sedan, Han, i3, Xiaomi, comparing these three, within 210,000 RMB?

Although the Han has good space and comfort among these three cars, it must be said that it is too old. The update of electrification/intelligentization is so fast that this car has not changed much, and the chassis materials are considered poor. The BMW i3 currently has an advantage in price, and its chassis/steering and other driving qualities are indeed very good, and the range achievement rate is also OK. The shortcomings may still be the design ideas of traditional fuel cars, and they are a bit lacking in intelligence and technology; Xiaomi SU7 is considered a more balanced choice at present, but the premise is that this car is actually mainly focused on control, so the space and comfort are relatively average. In addition, if you value driving quality and are indifferent to intelligence/technology, BMW i3 can also be considered.

Can you talk about the BYD D9? Compared with GL8, which one has a higher cost performance (such as maintenance, insurance, durability, etc.), and who is more suitable for long-term use without changing cars?

BYD D9 is currently the best-selling green plate plug-in hybrid MPV, and the main reason it can surpass GL8 is that it came out early, and GL8 green plate came out too late. First of all, whether it is BYD D9 or GL8 plug-in hybrid, both cars are actually very good, and they are both front-bridge dual-motor hybrid schemes (D9 has a four-wheel-drive version, GL8 does not have a four-wheel-drive version), and the difference in maintenance/insurance is not big, but durability still needs time to verify, theoretically there is no big problem.

Subjectively speaking, I may prefer BYD D9, first of all, I personally think the appearance is better, the interior luxury and intelligence are better, and most importantly, BYD D9 has a softer chassis and better shock absorption, which is also the style I like. Both cars may be more balanced, with no too many shortcomings, but compared, the advantages of BYD D9 may be more prominent.
