Commercial Vehicle Production and Sales in June 2024

According to an analysis by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers, in June 2024, among the main types of commercial vehicles, both the production and sales of buses and trucks showed a slight decrease compared to the same period last year.

In June 2024, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were completed at 330,000 and 337,000 units respectively, with a month-on-month increase in production of 2.8% and a decrease in sales of 1.2%. Compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease of 3.5% in production and 4.9% in sales.

From January to June 2024, the production and sales of commercial vehicles were completed at 2.005 million and 2.068 million units respectively, with an increase of 2% and 4.9% year-on-year.

In June 2024, the production and sales of buses were completed at 40,000 and 43,000 units respectively, with a month-on-month decrease in production of 5.2% and an increase in sales of 1%. Compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease of 6.8% in production and 3.9% in sales. Compared to the previous month, the production and sales of light buses slightly decreased, while large and medium-sized buses showed varying degrees of growth; compared to the same period last year, large and medium-sized buses showed varying degrees of growth, while light buses showed a decrease.

From January to June 2024, the production and sales of buses were completed at 241,000 and 244,000 units respectively, with an increase of 6.4% and 9.3% year-on-year. Compared to the same period last year, all three types of buses showed varying degrees of growth, with large and medium-sized buses showing more significant growth.

In June 2024, the production and sales of trucks were completed at 290,000 and 294,000 units respectively, with a month-on-month increase in production of 4% and a decrease in sales of 1.6%. Compared to the same period last year, there was a decrease of 3% in production and 5.1% in sales. Compared to the previous month, the production and sales of medium and light trucks showed varying degrees of growth, while heavy trucks showed an increase in production and a decrease in sales, and micro trucks showed a decrease in both production and sales.

From January to June 2024, the production and sales of trucks were completed at 1.764 million and 1.824 million units respectively, with an increase of 1.4% and 4.4% year-on-year. Compared to the same period last year, micro trucks showed a slight decrease in production and a slight increase in sales, while the production and sales of other three types of trucks showed varying degrees of growth, with medium-sized trucks showing the most significant growth.
