Recently, the factory prototype of the Volkswagen Passat PRO, derived from the PASSAT B9, has been exposed by media. This car will be marketed as the new generation of SAIC Volkswagen Passat, featuring two exterior themes: standard kit and R Line kit. It is expected to be officially launched in the third quarter of this year and will be sold alongside the current model.

🚗 The SAIC Volkswagen Passat PRO maintains its B-class sedan positioning. Like the European version PASSAT B9 (station wagon), it originates from the Volkswagen MQB evo platform. However, the domestic version is a dedicated three-box car design and has been fully upgraded in detail design, body size, and intelligent interaction compared to the old model.

👀 In terms of appearance, the Passat PRO basically continues the European version's front face. The standard version is decorated with a through-type chrome strip on the front face, paired with a light purple car paint, showing a more business temperament. The R Line version adopts a black king-shaped front net design, and "blackened" treatment is made in details such as the outer rearview mirror and rear enclosure, plus black low wind resistance wheels, showing a more sports theme.

🏎️ In terms of power, the Passat PRO continues to provide two engines: EA211 1.5TSI and EA888 2.0TSI, with maximum power of 118kW and 162kW respectively, matched with a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission. This powertrain is also a familiar face in Volkswagen's lineup.
