Following the Leopard 5 and Leopard 8, the third model of the Equation Leopard, the Leopard 3 has been disclosed in both application drawings and official images. It is the first pure electric model of the Equation Leopard, expected to be launched this year, with an official pre-sale price starting from 220,000 RMB.

Let's first look at the dimensions: the new car has dimensions of 4605/1900/1720mm, with a wheelbase of 2745mm. It is officially positioned as a mid-size SUV. To be honest, this size is a bit small for a mid-size SUV, more akin to the size performance of a compact SUV.

From the application drawings, the Leopard 3 is a city SUV with a unibody structure, but its overall appearance follows a rugged and wild route, with a distinct style from the previous Leopard 5/Leopard 8. The car's lines are full and pay attention to details, coupled with a relatively small body, it feels like a very trendy tough guy.

Specifically, the new car's front face design is quite complex, with the two light groups connected to the central grille, and the lower bumper is quite wild. The body is surrounded by a black kit to enhance this wild nature, including front and rear bumpers, side skirts, wheel arches, etc. The side uses the hidden door handle commonly seen in electric vehicles, the lines of the wheel arches and other places are significantly strengthened, full of muscle, and the rear of the car has a "little backpack" design, which should be a storage compartment.

Apart from looking wild and tough, Leopard 3 also has some trendy attributes, and it should be possible to choose some peripheral equipment in the future. Even in the official images of Leopard 3, we have seen three different styles. The front face, front and rear bumpers, including the details of the wheels, will be different. The white car body is a typical urban SUV style, which is relatively simpler and clearer.

The green car body is obviously an off-road style, relatively more wild. First, the body uses more black kits, and the most obvious feature is the roof with a luggage rack, and the rear uses an exposed spare tire, which brings this wild temperament to the extreme.

The black industrial style has a bit of a small crossover feeling, using different roof luggage racks, and more silver decorative parts to show some small personality or exquisiteness of the appearance.

Leopard 3 does not currently have official interior images. From previous spy photos, the overall interior layout is basically the same as Leopard 5, giving a simple and tough feeling. The steering wheel is a four-spoke design, the center control uses two floating screen shapes (liquid crystal instrument + central screen), and the bottom is still the aircraft throttle-shaped gear lever, with the function button of the dial shape, which has a very high degree of novelty and technology.

From the previous application information, Leopard 3 will use dual-motor drive, with the maximum power of the front and rear motors being 110 kW/220 kW respectively, which can achieve a 100 km/h acceleration in 4.9 seconds. In terms of batteries, it is equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries from Xiangyang Fudi. Of course, whether Leopard 3 will have a single-motor version is currently uncertain.

According to the previous pre-sale price, Leopard 3 is mainly aimed at the price range of 200,000-250,000 RMB. The biggest competition in this level is basically some pure electric sedans or pure electric mid-size SUVs with a city style. A pure electric SUV with a tough and wild appearance like Leopard 3 is indeed rare in this level, and it may be able to stand out with this alternative style.
