AEB Test Performance of AITO M7 Surprisingly Excellent, How About Other Aspects?

When it comes to the most popular models in the mid-to-large size SUV market, the "leading" AITO M7 is definitely on the list. With its brand-new design that closely resembles its bigger brother, the AITO M9, and equipped with the new HUAWEI DATS 2.0 system, the official claim is that the vehicle is more stable and more comfortable to ride. For the 2024 model 1.5T Intelligent Driving Four-Wheel Drive Ultra Edition 5-seater vehicle tested, the overall space performance is quite good, with both front and rear heights above 950mm, ample headroom, and front and rear seat cushions both over 500mm in length, which provides good support for the legs. The rear seats support electric backrest adjustment, and the rear central floor is completely flat without a bump.
The layout and quantity of the in-car storage compartments are quite conventional, with larger capacities under the door panels, in the central armrest box, and in the glove box, fully meeting the storage needs for common items, and they are also easy to access.
The AITO M7's WLTC official pure electric range is 175km. Before the pure electric endurance test, we set the air conditioning to 23℃ automatic, driving mode to energy saving + forced pure electric, and energy recovery to the strongest. After all preparations were ready, the test officially began. During the test, we experienced high-speed roads, urban congested roads and other road sections, and the average speed at the end of the test was 30.2km/h.
Then we carried out the power consumption fuel consumption test, which started when the battery was at 3%. The driving mode was energy saving + fuel priority, energy recovery was the strongest, and the air conditioning setting remained unchanged. We also experienced high-speed, congested and other road conditions. After the vehicle had traveled 110km, the test was stopped, and the average speed throughout the journey was 30.3km/h. A total of 13.04L of 95# gasoline was added, and the final power consumption fuel consumption performance of the AITO M7 was 11.85L/100km. It is worth mentioning that during the power consumption fuel consumption test of the AITO M7, the battery charge was increased from the initial 3% to 42%, and the vehicle recharged a total of 39% of the power, which is also one of the main reasons for the high fuel consumption of the AITO M7.
After the endurance test, we used a charging pile with a rated power of 250kW to charge the vehicle. It took a total of 60 minutes to charge the battery from 3% to 100%, and the charging time from 30% to 80% was 24 minutes.
The AITO M7 uses a 1.5T engine + dual motor power combination, with a four-wheel drive form, where the maximum power of the engine is 152 horsepower, and the total power of the motor is 449 horsepower.
In the braking test, the vehicle's pitch was slight, but the tire grip performance was average, and tire slippage was felt during the test.
The 0-400m acceleration test is more a test of the vehicle's sustained acceleration ability. In this link, the range extender can maintain a high speed range and continue to output power, and the final result was 12.97 seconds, with a tail speed of 176.77km/h.
In the AEB stationary dummy car anti-rear-end test, the AITO M7 can successfully brake to avoid collision at speeds of 10-120km/h, accompanied by sound, image, and HUD prompts. About 2 seconds after braking, the vehicle will automatically shift into P gear. In the AEB ghost probe test, the AITO M7 can successfully brake to avoid collision at speeds of 10-70km/h, with sound, image, and HUD prompts, early recognition, and as the speed increases, the braking time will be earlier. Similarly, about 2 seconds after braking, the vehicle will automatically shift into P gear.
