Last November, at the 70th Macau Grand Prix, we witnessed the Lotus Emira GT4 race car capture the GT4 class pole position and achieve a first and second place finish. It demonstrated formidable competitiveness on the mountain road section, outperforming a host of peers such as the SUPRA GT4 EVO, M4 GT4, and AMG GT4. Today, we finally have the opportunity to get into the cockpit of the Emira and experience the final chapter of this Lotus fuel-powered sports car. 🚗💨
"6'24''047", this is the record set by the Lotus pure electric hypercar EVIJA X, which refreshed the third place on the Nürburgring's overall lap time list. As the only fuel-powered sports car under the Vision80 strategy, the Emira adopts the same porous design as the EVIJA, with a sharp shark-nose bionics design, and the roof line and side aerodynamic layout are very similar. 🦈
The Emira also has a nickname "1 meter 2", with dimensions of 4413/1896/1235mm in length, width, and height, and a wheelbase of 2570mm. The 1.2-meter height with a nearly 1.9-meter width, the standard mid-engine sports car layout, is almost the most supercar-proportioned model in the same class, as if a "little EVIJA". 🏎️💨
